* $30 per Team to Enter, Sign-up at 1:00 pm.
* Bring Your Partner (or we will pair you up with someone there)
* Double-Elimination 2/3 Winners and Losers
* Recreational Players Get Their Own Bracket*
1st Pays $100 – 2nd Pays $50 (Per Team)
* Amateurs and Pros (Incld. PM and SP) Get Second and Third Bracket
Amateurs and Pros Bracket Winners Play 2/3 for 1st and 2nd

* Six Tornado Tables, Brackets will be set by random draw
* Final Exhibition Match Pits First Bracket Winner against Other Winner

It's actually an ancient game with lots of history, I believe it was first played by the Romans.

How does one go about becoming a professional foosball player?

I may be willing to consider a career change.

The words pro and amateur are misnomers. If you ever played foosball in a bar and consider yourself to be really good and then go play someone ranked as an amateur, they will probably win 80 or 90 percent of the time. If you play someone that is a pro (including semi-pros and pro-masters), they should win 99 percent of the time. But the money made is at the low end of the sports spectrum so I wouldn't quit your job to become a professional foosball player (not sure what kind of money professional air hockey or ping-pong players make).

This year's Tornado World Championships in September outside of Dallas pays $8,000 for 1st place Open Doubles and $4,000 for 1st in Open Singles with $100,000 in total prizes.
