With no Uber, we aren't sure what the best ways to get around are going to be for ACL. Normal cabs have always been a nightmare.

We are bringing bikes, but are there other services that can be trusted?

I think Fare is the app most people are using now.

I've never used it though, so don't take my word for it.

Neither one of those has more than 1 star reviews. Sounds like Austinites are pleased with their elected officials.

Well, Fare was giving out a lot of free first time rides, so you might be able to at least get a free ride.

RideAustin and Fasten seem to be the go-tos. My experience as a rider and a driver are virtually identical to Uber/lyft. RideAustin is a little cheaper per mile than Fasten, but if it's a really short trip, Fasten has no minimum fare, so you might save a few dimes that way. I used RideAustin during weekend 1. They have a staging section at an abandoned jack in the box on Lamar and Barton Springs where a bunch of cars were waiting to pick up riders.
