It's been several years since we've had photos done for our family of four. We have young teen boys and would like outdoor photos some time this fall. Preferably we could purchase the edited digital copies of the photos. I wouldn't be opposed to someone who could make me look young and thin.

Any personal recommendations out there?

My advice would be to look on Facebook or even Instagram at their past work. Price is definitely a consideration with photography.

Absolutely this. And look specifically for overly retouched (airbrushed) images. Way too many of them don't know how to use Photoshop sparingly.

Lauren Melissari did a great job on an outdoor family/1 year old session for us.

We just had some done by Shelby Schiller and I'm super excited to see how they turned out. She is due to have a baby next month though so I don't think she's ramping back up until November.
