Suddenlink crazy slow this week since students have returned?

Ever since Monday, two of my suddenlink connections have been ridiculously slow. Bandwidth is fine but the over subscription at my nodes is making response times and packet loss unbearable.

Anyone else having issues this week or just me?

Mine's still fine but we don't live in a student area and we have the 200 mbps package.

Yep, I've noticed some sites have become very slow to load, especially in the evening.

Speedtest never shows a drop off, but that doesn't surprise me. Usually when Suddenlink is acting up, tests never show anything wrong.

I have no independent knowledge that Suddenlink does this, but it is well known that "some" (I personally think "many") ISP's prioritize traffic to well known speed test sites. So, while everything else is slow, the speed tests are still as fast as they should be...

An additional 60,000 people are in town. There's more highway traffic, more Internet traffic, etc.

Mine has gotten faster. More users means more nodes on the hyperrouter, which of course exponentially increases the latency rebound times by decreasing the bandwidth friction across the web gaps at each of the http portals. If you're experiencing a slow down it's probably because of all the velociraptors.
