Wanted to have the first hummingbird thread of the year.

It looked a little bigger then most.

Anyone getting feeders out?

Guess that's my que to get them operational in Grimes County.

Is it just me or is it really late? I'm south of houston but I haven't seen a one.

Family in Midland and Abilene have seen hummingbirds. I have had my feeders out since mid-March without any luck. I was starting to feel like the hummingbirds skipped us.

I saw a bat the other night.

Mine are up and waiting.

First hummingbird showed up today in Grimes County.

We've been bombarded for almost two weeks in San Antonio

None in Wellborn yet.

They're here! They're here! Just had the first official sighting at my feeder (south College Station).

Wish I've seen more, but only that one so far.

Saw my first ruby-throat yesterday at one of my feeders, about 2 miles south of campus.

Have one male that showed up Saturday in the Steep Hollow area

Just saw the first hummer here in Bryan at Old Reliance and Hwy 6.

One was tormenting my daughter's kitten at the kitchen window earlier today in Shenandoah. Kitten can see out but nothing can see in so she's determined that one day she will get through the window and get all of those nasty lizards, hummingbirds, and bugs in the butterfly garden.

Saw one yesterday fly up to where my feeder usually is. Making a batch of food now!

Saw 2 today between Bryan and Hearne.................

Just a handful the past few weeks, but now there about 25 fighting over our feeder, so a major wave must be passing through. And saw an oriole for the first time this spring

Only four at a time in Woodlake.

I've had a few regulars stopping by for over a week now. I'm located just north of campus.

I had approximately 20 buzzing around my two feeders this morning.

Have three out just one or two at each. But there are some here.

Still a large swarm of hummers at the feeder, probably 25 or so all together. I had half oranges set out in a few places to attract orioles, along with an oriole feeder. After no action since a brief sighting last Saturday, I was about to give up when I had a male Baltimore Oriole feed twice on a suet feeder and four times on an orange half this evening.
I had seen several a few years ago during the fall migration but never during the spring. I told my son that it doesn't take any thing extravagant to make me happy!

Had three or four cross bill red breasted grosbeaks about ten days ago feeding on the cape honeysuckle.
My usual four or five hummers have been back for about a month.
We have a partial leucistic cardinal .... has large areas of its body that are white.... feeding in our yard.

? Have the migrating routes for geese changed? We didn't see any this year and very few that past couple of years. (just NW of Huntsville in Walker County).

Also, we saw no robins this year. I did see two in Huntsville last week.
Haven't had juncos in several years in the winter.
No painted buntings last summer.
