Anyone know if it's OK to throw this stuff in the recycling bins or if I need to take to an auto parts store?

Rotors are recyclable

I would be surprised if that is okay for the bins, I don't remember seeing that on the list. Have you had a chance to look at their website to see if it is on the list of acceptable/unacceptable?

Cast iron is more valuable than steel. Wouldn't imagine not but I would make sure.

Pads are also recycled. You should be able to return them to the parts store for a core charge.

Pads don't have a core value, but you can recycle them with scrap metal if they are non-asbestos.

I know they are both recyclable, just wasn't sure if they could be accepted in the bins or need to do separately.

I'd just toss it in the bin.

Hahaha, came here expecting to hear a bunch of complaints about how loud the breaks are on the recycling trucks. They routinely wake my 1 year old.

Perhaps the trucks could use your pads themselves.
