If you like french fries then Proudest Monkey.
If you like music then Grand Stafford.
If you like wine then Uncorked.

My favorites are Murphy's Law and Grand Stafford.
Proudest Monkey, the LaSalle's bar, and Uncorked are all fine as well but are choices 3-5 for me.

I like Murphy's but the indoor smoking sucks (for me at least). So I tend to stick to College Station bars these days.

Revolution
I've never been impressed with Revolution. It's probably my least favorite downtown bar.

I like Revolution a lot, but prefer the Grand Stafford for all those qualities.
As far as amenities & drink choices go, Revolution isn't going to really win many comparisons with other bars. I personally enjoy their courtyard seating when the weather is decent, though. Like K2T2 said, for just hanging out with a few friends, Rev's is quite nice.
The Stafford does have some good shows and events come through. They've also really cleaned up their upstairs lounge a bit over the last few years.
