Go buy a new one. It'll be cheaper to replace than to repair.
Replace it, new ones are <$200. Easy job if you have any mechanical ability.
If it was $200 or less, I would simply replace it. Get a Hunter if you can afford it. They aren't too high of quality , but will work. For a ceiling fan to really work, it needs a 13 degree pitch and a motor that can keep up with the weight of blades.

I appreciate the responses. But wife likes the one we have. So, who in BCS can work on small electric motors. TIA
I'll bet the company that manufactured your broken fan, made more than one. Figure our your model and order another one.
You will need to take the fan apart. You can call Franks Electric Motor repair in Bryan.
Many times, the units are sealed. You can't get inside them and even if you could, the bearings are not easily obtainable. If is a knocking noise you probably have a flat spot on a bearing.
