Any place local to buy? There was a place across from Manor East Mall many years ago? Oh and I did try google with no luck.

This is the only local place to my knowledge: http://www.hullabaloobrew.com

They don't have a store front but it is my understanding they stock kits at village food off briarcrest and 29th.

And please consider joining the Texas Aggieland Brew club.... meetings on the third Friday of most months, with special events for Halloween.

FWIW, the folks at Hullabaloo Diner told me that Hullabaloo Brewing Company is owned by none other than Greg D. of Yelp. Hullabaloo Diner brew beer so there was some colorful discussion about the use of the name.

I wonder if he gave his business five stars as an FTR?

Seriously, I would either take a trip to Houston or do mail order.

OP asked for a local place.

OP might like other options only a couple hours drive away should said local options not exist. Thanks for caring though, techno.

No local places since the Martinez clan left several years ago.
I use http://www.homebrewing.org/ and /https://www.hiddenlegendwinery.com/ .
Austin homebrewing does some good business also.

Order online is my advice... hullabaloobrew is a complete joke and would not surprise me if it was Greg. - I've traded emails back n forth.

What beer are you looking to brew? AHS (austin homebrew) has clone kits of just about everything. I like farmhouse brewing supply when ordering online, but don't get liquid yeast this time of year.

Email me if you want, I'm brewing again soon. I do all grain, in 10 gallon batches.

If you are up for a drive, Texas Homebrewers (Katy) is probably about 75 minutes from B/CS.

Not sure why you consider it a joke. A friend of mine was in need of some yeast to brew this past weekend, and Hullabaloobrew delivered it to him. He said he was happy with the service and that it was cheaper than buying it online and then paying the $7.99 flat shipping charge that most brew supply stores offer.

because they sold 1 brand of dry yeast, no liquid yeast, no good dry yeasts...so basically offered 3 strains, out of hundreds available at a real homebrew store. I make my own recipes and have particular strains I like to use. Selling 3 types of dry yeast out of an apartment doesn't make for much of a homebrew store. I could also tell by our conversation they weren't very knowledgeable about brewing.

I'll stick with AHS and online stores like Farmhouse Brewing Supply.
