How long do you want to ignore this user?
So my wife completed about 70 hours at an out of state school by the end of 2001. After that we had kids and she never got a chance to go back but is thinking of going back now.

Does anyone know if those 70 hours at an accredited (good out of state school) are still transferable to A&M? Or are the hours forfeited due to time? She's open to going to Blinn for a year again if it means being able to transfer into A&M.

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure. There's an academic board that has an admissions person from TAMU that answers questions. You could try asking there if you don't get many responses.

lots of changes in the past 15 years with course equivalency transfer.
first, if she is going to Blinn, then Blinn will analyze the transcript and award course equivalency.
When she transfers to TAMU, they will do the same. Just because Blinn accepts a course, does not necessarily mean that TAMU will.....It is up to each institution.

the sending institution also needs to be an accredited school by one of the major accrediting agencies.
The age of the course credit doesn't matter unless she is applying to a specialty program that may have time limits....for example, nursing has time limits on some science courses.

She can see how courses transfer to A&M at https://compass-ssb.tamu.edu/pls/PROD/bwxkwtes.P_TransEquivMain. The academic dept. she applies to decides whether to admit her or not. So she needs to know which academic dept. she wants to study in. Most academic depts. focus on a high GPA and whether she has taken the courses they list on their course sheet at http://admissions.tamu.edu/transfer/majors. She can see the required documents she'll need to send us and when to apply at http://admissions.tamu.edu/transfer/apply.

I have a different question for you, do you have an e-mail address I could contact you with?

Thanks!
