Are there any good places in town to sell an engagement ring? I'd rather not just hock it at a pawn shop. TIA!

Just some FYI, engagement rings make pretty bad financial investments. Jewelry dealers tend to pay about 30% of what you or I pay to buy new. They are going to pay less than that to buy used from the public. Usually 10-20% of retail.

Thank you guys for the info. I'm not looking to make a lot of cash from it or anything. It's just been sitting in a drawer for 2 years. Ex husband didn't want it back and I originally thought about having it made into something else, but I don't really need it. Figured I'd just try to give it a new home.

Check out a website called "I Do Now I Don't." While I can't vouch for it personally, it's been around for a while and may be helpful to you.
Jewelry's like cars. You buy at retail prices but usually you have to sell at wholesale prices.
