Just wanted to remind folks after the fun run, that many of the more country like subdivisions have areas along the roadways seeded with wild flowers. It is important to not drive or park on these areas from October until after they go to seed late spring. The flowers grow throughout that time period and will be destroyed by cars driving on them even once. This is particularly true of bluebonnets. So when you are visiting those areas keep this in mind and stay on the pavement for the sake of a lovely spring. I unfortunately noticed several ruts in my area made through wildflowers by those wanting to cheer on the runners. They were not aware of what they were doing, but hopefully they will know better next time.
