You can buy some Kwikset locks with smart key feature and install them yourself which will allow you to rekey in the future without a locksmith in less than a minute.
If it is a rental property, just go buy a new set of locks and switch them out yourself. Then keep the other set to put back on when you change tenants.

That is bad advice from a liability standpoint. If a lawsuit arises from a break in, one of the first things that will get asked is if the landlord ever recycled the locks at the address.
