Isn't Shreveport farther from the sea than BCS and not in Cajun country?

Yes.
Had a friend from Springhill.
Most up there are country and will get mad if you call them Cajun.
It's more of south Arkansas.

I like Blind Tiger as well. Cajun Sampler should do the trick.

Ernest's is the best food on the planet. Order the marinated crab claws. Lots of them.

Superiors is awesome and has some of the best margaritas, ever. Also, go to a place called Counter Culture and get something called "the Humphrey." My favorite food in the entire world.

Named after Henry Miller Shreve who cleared the Red River, among other things.

Bergeron's Cajun Meat Market in Bossier City - on Benton Road north of the 220 bypass. The only item I didn't care for was the fried boudin balls - way too bready. Very limited space to dine in, but you can pick up some pretty good cajun fare for a picnic on Cross Lake.

Been to Blind Tiger a couple of times. Thought it was ok. Enjoyed superior Grill also. Liked Ralph & Kacoo's in Bossier better.
