There is a new Mexican meat market on Boonville. Same shopping center and the Amish furniture place. Between Curtis and Mohawk on the north side of the street. El Farolito. I've never been in, but I drive past it almost daily.
El Farolito was a restaurant specializing in tortas (and pretty good, too!), not a carnicera. Last I heard, they were closed (although hoping to one day reopen). Have they reopened and/or changed?
Talk to the butchers at Readfield Meats - they are old school and know their stuff. You can get pork belly to make bacon and they also make an awesome corned beef around this time of year.
