Spending Thanksgiving in BCS for the first time in years. Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations on the best restaurants or individuals who make good homemade pies(i.e. chocolate, pecan, buttermilk)?

The Pentecostal church on 21 make the BEST pies. And they money goes to their missions! We've been ordering from them for Christmas and Thanksgiving for at least a decade!

May be too late, but Bevers Kitchen in Chappell Hill always had some mighty fine pies. I would take Bevers over Royers any day.

I always buy this time of the year a chocolate pecan pie from Cracker Barrel. They also have other kinds!

The Chevron gas station in Wellborn. Lady that bakes for them makes the best pecan and buttermilk pies.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! Must Be Heaven stopped taking orders yesterday so I ended up calling the Bryan Pentecostal Church.

Slovacek's has excellent pies, and they are very inexpensive.

First Baptist Church of Bryan. The best. Pecan, Pumpkin, Buttermilk, and a variety of Cheesecakes.

Farm Patch has pecan pies. The best pies I've had here by far were from the bakery at Readfields. Best bread by far from there as well. I think their baked goods are something of a secret. They don't make much and run out fast.

We had a cream cheese pecan pie from Slovacek's. Delicious.

Anyone remember the pies from Mama Lois? Made with TLC. Tasty lovin' care.

I'll have to keep Slovacek's in mind for Christmas - didn't know they did pies. Thanks!
