I have a friend whose phone keeps pulling up the weather for Spear, TX. Googling it, it points to College Station - just south of George Bush off of Wellborn. The FedEx Express Drop Box also has a Spear, TX pointing there.

Is there any historical something another that Spear, TX would have come from?

I've always wondered about Spear, too. I think it had to do with the I-GN railroad. When I get home I'll see if I could get more info.
