A story in today's eagle make it clear that one candidate for Bryan City Council has missed filing a campaign report with the Texas Ethics Commission. Several PACs have also missed filing reports.
In the case of Incardona, the ethics case was assigned an official file number by the Texas Ethics Commission, SC-31409211. According to the commission it met the "technical form requirements for a complaint" and the complaint was "determined to be within the commission's jurisdiction." The commission also found that "The evidence submitted with the complaint indicates non-compliance with section 254.063 of the Election Code." Incardona signed that he "acknowledges the allegation relating to the failure to timely file a semiannual campaign finance report..." While the commission only sought an assurance of future compliance, it did note that "the commission would consider this negligent action in any future filings against the candidate." Dated October 8, 2014.
We want responsible, ethical, and meaningful government for Bryan.
