Duties: The Support Services Technician position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve customer support issues in a timely manner. As a member of the Support Services Team, you will work directly with clients, customers, partners and internal departments via telephone and e-mail to log, track, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as well as train customers and peers on the use and support of company products. You should demonstrate exceptional initiative and creativity in the development of solutions for complex situations, and you will communicate comments & suggestions from users to the product development team and assist in identifying new product requirements into product planning discussions. This is a customer-facing job where you will be the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and post-sales support to ensure world-class customer satisfaction. As a result of the required training, we are asking that candidates be able to make at least a one-year commitment to this position.
The Support Services Technician may be required to work before or after normal business hours in order to provide extended support services for clients worldwide. This is a security-sensitive position that requires successful background check and ability to obtain a Federal security clearance.

Required Skills:
  • Previous customer service-related training and work experience
  • Proficient in the use of a variety of web browsers and email clients
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills, team player and ability to take initiative
  • Career-minded, results-driven personality with strong follow-through

Preferred Skills:
  • Previous work experience providing software and/or Internet tech support by phone
  • Computer programming or web development experience
  • Fluent in Spanish
Education:
  • High School diploma and currently seeking degree in Business- or Technical-related field
  • Technical certifications are a plus

With all due respect, considering the number of qualifications/skills you are looking for, that pay offer is a joke. Granted it is part-time work, but anybody that has the skills you are asking for can get twice that. You're asking someone to do IT work at odd hours and paying them like they work behind the counter at Starbucks (not including tips).
