My name is Jim Bouse '04, my wife Lauren '07 andI own and operate Brazos WiFi, a wireless internet service provider here in the
Brazos Valley. I am a long time reader of TexAgs and MyBCS and I am excited to
be back as an advertiser here! We haveundergone a lot of changes since we first started advertising here a year ago.
We have expanded our coverage area, doubled the speeds on all of our internet
packages without increasing our prices, added additional towers, improved
network redundancy, and increased our total bandwidth capacity. We currently
cover much of the rural Eastern portion of Brazos County, covering Kurten,
Wixon Valley, North Country Estates, Reliance, parts of Tabor Rd, parts of FM
1179, Elmo Wheedon and a few other areas. Additionally we have a few large
business clients in Bryan and are looking to expand in almost every direction.
We offer residential and commercial internetpackages starting at $36 a month for a 2Mbps sustained (with a burst up to
10Mbps) connection with no limits on usage. We have plans geared towards a
range of internet users from email checkers to online gamers. The difference in
our service is that instead of charging you based on your maximum speed, we
strive to provide a connection with speeds sustained at the level that you are
paying for. We also don't force you to sign a contract, everything is on a
month to month basis but we do offer discounts for paying for 3, 6 or 12 months
at a time and referral bonuses.
