Nice. I walked into that one. I haven't seen many birds up until this morning. Not really expecting much.
Lots of great beer deals on the way down yesterday. Be careful out there.
frio county has plenty around most farming operations. unfortunately, every tank has water this year so hunting over water wont be a good as years past.
I'll be at the dove lease near New Beflin after work today.

Got 3 birds outside of corpus this morning. Hunted from 7:30-10. Pretty slow and not a lot flying

What area of Brooks? Water nearby?
Was in El Campo this morning. West of town about 2 miles. Waaaay fewer birds in the area than usual. They were covered up 3 weeks ago but solid and recurring rains have pushed birds out of town. Was in a field with 150-200 hunters. Our small 3 man group had a limit shoot, but we had to work for it (and our group can shoot).

Any reports from around Alice? We are scheduled to hunt next weekend. So far very few birds reported.
Dad and I both limited around 10:15 8 miles northwest of Pleasanton. My 2 cousins had 7~8 apiece when we left.

Saw more teal than dove this morning in the Nada area.

Shooting birds and they have fixed up the American Legion real nice.
North side of Pleasanton, in the motel parking lot, watched about 350~400 white wings fly over in groups of 20s and 30s, mostly headed southwest.
Saw nothing but mourning dove on the place this morning.
Literally could have gotten another 2 limits in about 10 min from where I was standing.

Easy limits on the South side of 90 in Hondo this afternoon.
As I was workning outside at my house I saw a lot of birds and heard a lot of shots. When I looked up the birds were still flying. So I would say there are a plenty to get but there are some rusty hunters. I'll try tomorrow. I'm in Karnes.
Two guns, near Miles, Texas yesterday
Got my limit yesterday between Hondo and Yancey, but took 1.5 hours to do it. Birds were flying low and slow, but you had to be patient and wait for them to get close because the grass was so damn tall. I shot a couple of doubles early, but realized that was a bad idea because I could only find the second bird. After I limited out about 6:30, I could have shot another half limit
Three hunters, seven birds near Cotulla Saturday evening. We hunted a spot that produced limits last year.
