Well, after a great night of screaming baby, I was taking my good sweet time getting to the office today. Anyway, about 10 minutes out from my office, I get a rather panicked call from my office-mate. When she opened the door this morning, apparently we had a little visitor. She's not quite as calm about snakes. Anyway, I got there about 10 later and moved our visitor.

For the anti-snake crowd---nope the snake ain't dead. This is the third rattler in 5 years we've found inside the office. There was actually a 4 footer sitting outside the door last Friday.

Maybe its just me, but that snake looks thin as paper in that last pic.

He flattened out. I was actually pretty impressed how flat he got (after getting stressed). Also explains how he came under the door into to the office.

tracer311, it is a 42" Whitco Plus--Whitney tongs. I like the style, just don't care for particular set of tongs.

Gotcha. Both dad and I are amateur herps. He grew up hunting c. adamanteus' in NC and I c. atroxes [correct plursl?] here in TX. He's had the same Pillstroms since the '60s.
