The more the AI plays the more it learns supposedly.

Doesn't seem like its "Learning to play" the game, more like its learning a sequence on jumps, ducks and run/walks to get it through a level.

I just watched it run Mario into the face of a cliff and get hit by a slowly falling fireball 3 times in a row.

As soon as it jumps over that ledge I'll call john connor. I'm not holding my breath though.

It seems like this should be able to be solved, mathematically, until it has the most efficient and highest point way to complete each level.

It's run into the same baseball throwing koopa troopa about 10 times in a row now. Still better AI than Aliens: Colonial Marines

I think Twitch Plays Pokemon moved faster than this "AI" is.

I'm conviced the AI is getting dumber as it goes on.

It learned to jump... A little impressed with the improvement.

It seems like it will make great progress then regress for a bit. Skynet is real.

The AI for this really means artificial idiocy.

Default should have been to jump constantly and then learn when not to jump.

It seems like it would be "try all possible inputs, with a default preference to advance right, with an increase in points indicating that it is to be kept...

Or, give it a demonstration to complete the level, then let it experiment off that path to maximize points - same as how a bird uses a mix of observation and instincts to nest.

Does it actually monitor anything on the screen? Or does it just know when it's dead and needs to do something else?

Is that link even live? I feel like it's the same hour and a half playing over and over.
