After upgrading your base apparently you will unlock a currency exchange vendor that will allow you to exchange normal currency for DZ funds.



That addresses my concerns that I blabbed about in the other thread: grinding for gear with no insufficient reward and being unable to compete in the DZ due to inferior weapons--which I'm aware is not a concern for most all y'all.

In the video it also says for the second expansion the entire map will turn into a Dark Zone.

Yeah, after infecting the islands I hopped a plane to Tahiti (another white guy spreading deadly disease and wiping out native populations).

Being in the middle of the Pacific seems good for 1-2 additional days.
