Played the Alpha and Closed Beta and ready to rock and roll on this thing.

When is the XBONE open beta?

Feb 18.

Still undecided on this one. I'm in love with Destiny's game mechanics but absolutely hate the issues with lag, weapon-balancing, and lack of pve updates.

I might try the game out during open beta.

Updates for the upcoming open Beta ( most of which will probably be permanent changes)... all good!

Numerous Dark Zone updates and improvements:

• New High End weapons available in the Dark Zone
• Refresh rate on Dark Zone chests has been greatly reduced
• Non-player enemies in the Dark Zone have been significantly increased in number
• Non-player enemies in the Dark Zone have been buffed slightly
• The Manhunt Timer now pauses instead of refreshing while in combat as a level 5 Rogue
• The Reward for surviving as a Rogue Agent has been increased to 1.5x the kill bounty
• The Health Bar for Agents in the Dark Zone now only turns red when they actually become Rogue
• A new warning icon has been added to indicate an Agent who has shot another player but has not done enough damage to go Rogue
• Dark Zone experience leveling curve has been adjusted slightly
• Disabled the option to transfer Dark Zone brackets as a Rogue (This prevents players using Bracket Transfer as a means to escape after becoming Rogue)
• Removed some ropes that allowed players to reach areas that gave them an unfair advantage

Manhunt timer now pauses instead of resetting while in combat... no more "red" enemies until they are officially rogue.... I like!!!!

I'm only getting the gold version because there isn't another MP game currently announced that I have much interest in. Probably a good bet we'll get a new Battlefield announced at E3 and maybe it will release this Holiday. But unless I'm forgetting a game, it will be this and a few single player games for me the rest of the year.

Don't forget Amazon Prime gets you 20% off pre-orders/new purchases. Gold package ends up being $80 instead of $100.

Agreed. My biggest issue isn't what games I want to play, just if this is going to hold my attention long enough to stick around for the DLC. That and I've been neglecting my video gaming hobby pretty hard for the past 10 months.

ETA: Just cancelled standard game. Looks like I'm on the DLC train.
