And it's pretty awesome.

If you ever played any of the old series it's very reminiscent of those games (not so much the type your commands or click on everything on the screen to figure out what to do gameplay though). Only got to play a couple of hours today but really liking it so far. The art-style is incredible, voice acting is terrific and have had several moments I actually laughed out loud.
The game is episodic, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I think this works well with this type of game. Each 'story' that King Graham is telling is an episode and each episode is an estimated 5-6 hours of gameplay (5 episodes total + an epilogue if you buy the "Complete Collection").
The game also has a decent replay value. There have been several points so far where you are given three choices, each of which have some apparent effect on the game. I don't know how these play out but I'll be playing the first episode again to see what changes.
Only complaints are some graphical issues on the Xbox One and slightly longer than expected load times, but no idea if these issues are present on the PS4 of PC version.
Highly recommend it though!
(FYI - the polygon idiots have no idea what they are talking about in their review)
Edit to say: BE FOREWARNED, like the old KQ games there will be much exploration and back tracking and re-searching areas and re-talking to people. You'll get stuck, and die, a lot. The complaints of the Polygon reviewers is that there is no fast-travel and walking around to the same areas over and over was tedious. I think The Odd Gentlemen really wanted to keep the pacing like the old games in this regard. I don't count it as a negative, but take it as you will.
UPDATE: A patch was released for the game that shortened load times significantly (though they still seemed random as to when they would appear). Finished the first episode. Everything I said earlier holds marginally true. The voice acting and the actors they used are perfect - there's even some great references to movies the voice actors have been in. I found most of the puzzles a bit easy and didn't die as much toward the end as I did in the beginning (perhaps this is geared for the younger crowd?). Some of the puzzles also had zero set-up which hurt the flow of the story. Still 4-5 hours of gameplay and I'm restarting a couple of new games to play with the different decisions you can make at key points. Still recommended.
Sorry - didn't really mean this thread to be a review...
