Although it's kinda hard to tell exactly what the problem is by reading the OP. Can you not access or the drive at all, like it's corrupt, or are all the files just gone, like it was wiped?

I've had a little luck before with Ubuntu being able to read corrupt flash drives that Windows would not read. You can burn an Ubuntu LiveCD and give it a shot. Can't hurt, it's a free option.

If the drive was wiped, I got nothin'...
