For any PVPers out there, Oroboro has a new video today with a suggested starting class (Military Veteran) for any Strength, Skill (formerly Dexterity), or Quality builds (quality is a hybrid of the other two that gives good access to most weapons in the game). I'll likely start out working towards a Quality build.
He also suggests that the PVP meta will be level 125, like it was in DeS and DS1. I'm so happy that Soul Memory is gone!
I've done some PVPing in the first two games, but got into the scene too late in DS1, and then DS2 didn't hold my interest much past the finish. I did do a ton of Blue Sentinels arena PVP, but the ability to heal all the time got super annoying. Plus, the arena design was pretty crap compared to actually PVPing in the world. Too bad that covenant was broken in terms of actually being summoned to aid someone, which was the whole reason I picked it.
I also spent a ton of time PVPing the first optional Tower in DS2, putting down my sign on the bridge leading into it in order to help escort people past the invaders and into (and past) the boss encounter. Did a ton of that. It was great fun.
Here's hoping that Bloodborne takes everything they've learned about PVP gaming and gives us the best version yet! I'm hopeful that having everyone on the same platform will help the scene; has anyone heard anything regarding dedicated servers, etc.? Just as long as we're not in the DS1 hell of peer-to-peer connections.
