What constitutes the amount of Gigs of downloaded data? I am trying to lower my bill, we pretty much only talk and text. We have started watching Aggie baseball via the Google Chromecast. Will watching SECN+ add to the data I am using? Don't play games or anything, just do not get what is the data I am paying for but not using?

Is the phone casting the SECN? If so, and you are not connected to Wifi, then yes that will eat up quite a bit of data on your bill.

Look at your bill, it will tell you how much data you use each month. See if you're paying for significantly more than you use.

Also, as stated above, use wifi when casting to the Chromecast.

Do you browse the internet on your phone? What about email or facebook?

Like others have said, make sure you are connected to wifi whenever you get the chance.

If you are using a Chromecast you are on wifi, it will not work off of your phones data, so you should not be using any of you mobile data.
