Any decent way to get a pdf into excel that doesn't look terrible I have acrobat 9

I've tried selecting the data and saving as a table, I've tried exporting, it all ends up looking like a mish mash of unformatted text.

You will need some kind of text reader software I believe. PDF's are essentially smart images, but images nonetheless.
