I'm a bit of a newbie to home theater audio. I have an HDTV with an optical audio output, and my ps4 has the same output. What's the best way to take advantage of these outputs on a relatively small budget? Are there speaker systems around $200 or less that I could use? I don't need a surround sound system.

Almost all powered soundbars sold today have an optical input. Just one though. So you'd let your PS4 send audio and video to your TV via HDMI. Then send audio from the TV to the soundbar via optical.

I bought this one to pair with my new TV: http://www.vizio.com/s4221wc4.html

I got it off ebay for about $160 + $30 shipping...so about $200 total. Great buy, sound quality is great and also has Bluetooth for streaming music.
