How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
I just switched from Verizon to suddenlink for our isp and now we cannot seem to get the lap top (Vista) or the pc (Windows 2000) to connect with WiFi. The pc can connect when hardwired, our phones can connect and the tablet can connect. I tried updating WiFi driver and still cannot connect. The laptop displays "connected with limited access"

Any help you can provide would be appreciated!

dubi,

Thanks for checking back in. I still haven't been at the house longer than 20 minutes that I wasn't eating, showering, or sleeping so I have yet to try your fix. I'll post on here when I give it a shot.

Thanks!

A friend said our OS needs to be from the last 18 years apparently and our motherboard cannot power it so our pc is basically obsolete. She felt sorry for us abd gave us a laptop! We're baaaaaack!

A PC from 2000 very possibly has a wifi card that does not support WPA security. It probably supported the older, hackable WEP.
