Weekend passes gone. Single day only now

Got a weekend pass the minute when tickets went live. Hopefully my work schedule won't change for that weekend.

Picked up two weekend passes as soon as I saw them go live.

In for one pass... now to save up for a flight from New York

We've got 10 people going.

Bro-in-law and I are heavily considering it, but it's hard to make plans like that half a year from now.

Got a group of 5 guys going. Already got the hotel booked as well.

If you are serious about "thinking" about going, get your pass right now.

Just got our passes for Friday and Saturday. We should have a TexAgs Nerdery get-together one night down on the Riverwalk.

Thursday night, there's an unofficial PAX bar crawl called A Shot of Ice and Fire.

I am there.

We're staying at the Home2 Suites by Hilton San Antonio Downtown - Riverwalk, TX. It's a little over a half mile from the convention center.

I see a better price with the Menger next to the Alamo and not far from the convention center. I've stayed there before.

boom, booked a room at the Menger. Driving up early Friday Morning. We should group up Texags/PointsMatter.

I'd be up for that room if I can swing ANOTHER flight to TX right after Christmas and more time off from work. it's going to be expensive...

Sure, that'd be fine. Hopefully my schedule is set with work, so far I am scheduled to fly back from work the day before and I'll be bringing my car down.

I've only seen videos of PAX, but I would really like to go. I would have to bring my wife though, she isn't really into gaming. Is there anything at the event that a non-gaming wife would enjoy?

Gaming conventions have tons of stuff to do that is non-gaming related, surprisingly.

Hotel booked, not directly on the riverwalk though.

I only have a single king bed at the Hampton northeast of the convention center.

I'm going, and I'm definitely planning on attending A Shot of Ice and Fire as well. Has anyone done any of the previous pub crawls? I'm under the impression you can request a certain house. Maybe those of us who are doing this should all request the same one?

The only previous PAX I've been to was 2007. I went with my wife and some friends, some of whom weren't as into gaming as I am. We also visited a non-gamer friend who was living in Seattle. To be honest, it wasn't an optimal PAX experience. I think my wife was probably bored a decent amount of the time - she enjoys some gaming, sometimes for long stretches at a time, but doesn't consider herself a gamer.

This time, I'm kind of flying solo, possibly with one or two friends who will want to really dive into PAX and play a lot of games, etc.

Where is the signup for that and do we need to go in costume?

EDIT: Pretty sure you don't have to go in costume. I figured I might buy a t-shirt of whatever house I get and wear that.
