I tentatively agree with this. But rather than approaching it from an ignorance standpoint, I prefer to think of it as beliefs caused by experience. At the end of the day experience is all you've got. Ignorance is infinite; at least experiences are positive forays into that infinity.

So, in that regard -- and at the risk of being redundant -- the beliefs you are describing, the collective beliefs of mankind whether in gods or chairs, are not different in kind, only in order of magnitude of affirming or recalcitrant experiences.

Well this thread took an interesting turn. While I feel fortunate to have studied evolution at A&M, from the genetic level to the fossil evidence, the sharp left turn to Bell's Theorem is a friendly check on the limitations of my intelligence. Kudos to those of you with a better grasp on QM.
