Is there really not a thread on this?!

I really liked Hated in the Nation and Shut Up and Dance. My wife picked up on the pedo aspect early on because of the way he was looking at the kids drawings. She mentioned it halfway though the episode and it pretty much explained why he was doing all that. It wouldn't have made sense if he was just jerking off to normal porn.

Nosedive was good, and something most millennials can relate to with instagram and facebook likes being a bit of a social currency for some.

Playtest was okay. There wasn't really a lesson, like most Black Mirror episodes. It was just something ****ty that happened to a cool dude.

I saw this hit Netflix, are they on the par with the first 2 seasons?

Only watched Nosedive so far. It was a great concept and beautifully directed by the guy that did Atonement.

I felt the ending was a little flat.

Interesting that it was written by Rashida Jones and Michael Schur.

I don't know how I didn't catch "White Christmas" with Jon Hamm. That was very good and how it ends is pretty eff'd up.
Nosedive is all I've watched of Season 3. I think the idea was awesome. How likes and your social media world can impact you on every level of society. Very interested. But it didn't have the same WTF ending as I expect from Black Mirror. It was kind of nicely wrapped up. I'll watch more but each episode is a mini movie that takes longer to get through.

For someone that has seen all of S3....Could you rate the episodes in order of favorite?

I would put them in the order descending to least favorite

San Junipero - It really is so well done and you don't even know the sci-fi tech aspect until halfway through the episode. It was touching if not slightly heart breaking

tied between Playtest and Shut Up and Dance
Playtest - such a great little horror jaunt that really dives into some heady stuff. Lots of Resident Evil and video game references throughout
Shut Up and Dance - this was probably the most horrifying episode until the end which puts the whole episode into a whole new light. If you want some greater appreciation of the episode, look up what Shrive (the name of the anti virus program) really means. Probably the most horrifying because this stuff already happens to an extent

Hated in the Nation - this felt like an X-files episode and the buddy cop style played into it. Nice little nod to bees going extinct and how we could try to change that

Nosedive - fun episode with BDH but did fall a little flat at the end. Loved the visuals

Men Against Fire - this one just didn't really do it for me and really felt like this was the only true dud of the bunch.

Such a solid group of episodes and I loved getting to binge it all

S1E1 is probably the most ****ed up episode of the entire series. The S1E2 was one of my favorites though. Still ****ed up though.

The show is really just a modern day Twilight Zone that focuses on technology and its (mostly horrible) impacts on society.

I don't think any episode in season 3 is particularly dark, except maybe Shut up and Dance. And comparing it to previous episodes, it's not that bad.

I can't speak for season 3 yet but do know that episode 1 is the most extreme of the first 2 seasons. But the stories are always f'd up, that's what makes it an exellent black satire.

Good to know. Cant wait to get deeper.

Shut Up and Dance was incredible.

San Junipero was really well done and was a great story.

I enjoyed Men Against Fire, but it felt like a bit of a retread (and kind of copied an Outer Limits episode).

Nosedive was OK but got a bit long and annoying. You can definitely tell that guest writers were involved with this one. Didn't have the typical Brooker feel.

Still need to watch Playtest and Hated in the Nation. Looking forward to 'em.

I started season 1 (3 episodes in) and kind of want to jump to Season 3.

No order. They are all self contained stories, so watch them however you like.

There are several references to previous episodes but nothing that ruins the story. For example, Men Against Fire uses "technology" that they introduce in The Entire History of You and the main song from Fifteen Million Merits.

The only episode I thought would be more enjoyable after watching them in order was White Christmas.

I've seen Nosedive and Playtest. I enjoyed both but not as much as I have enjoyed the episodes in previous seasons. Hoping the other episodes pick it up a bit.

I thought they were all well done. Sure some were more better than the others but still well done. I loved Playtest. I was really impressed with Wyatt Russell and even though it was a very serious episode, some moments made me laugh so hard.

My other favorites are the entire history of you, be right back, white bear and white Christmas.

White Bear was the one that really made me appreciate this series.

I thought The Entire History of You was brilliant.

Me too. I'm watching in order and just finished san junipero. I think this season has been the most commercially friendly thus far. Still dark at times but nothing like the past seasons or white Christmas

White Bear left the strongest impression on me mainly because there's no way I would have ever guessed the ending.

If I had to summarize the series, I'd describe it as two types of styles: 1) Episodes that have a twist/concept that's very well disguised and difficult to see coming for most of the episode (White Bear, White Christmas), and 2) Episodes that are more subtle but , as someone mentioned earlier, really forces you to examine the underlying theme.

I myself prefer the former of the two types I listed, but certainly can appreciate the latter.

My only critique for this season is that it doesn't feel as original as the previous seasons, but this may just be because I use White Bear/White Christmas as the measuring bar. I really enjoyed Playtest, but I could feel the 'inception' like setup coming and that took away from it for me.

What I've enjoyed most about this so far is that it's not bingeable. I'm 3 episodes in.
Both Playtest and Shut Up and Dance were so intense that I had to stop watching to think and just play outside. Great episodes, but intense as hell.

Nosedive and San Junipero were phenomenal

What a lousy final episode. Extremely disappointed in the last one. 4 of the 6 were excellent.

I didn't care for White Christmas as much as all of you did. It felt like it drug on a little too long for me. I felt my mind drifting away a lot more in that episode than any other episode.
