Ok, here we go! Nominations are in and we are ready to kick off our round of 64 for the TV Character tournament. You know how this goes. Vote for your favorite character...your criteria are yours and yours alone. I have a feeling we might see some "upsets" very early in this competition. I'll leave round 1 open for three days I think (once it seems to have slowed down a lot).

FYI 4 characters with 3 votes made it in. I took another poster's suggestion and only took characters from that list who didn't have another character from their show already in. Then I randomized who was left and...bingo, we have 64

Just be sure to:

1) Vote
2) Have a strong opinion
3) If other voters don't share your opinion, communicate to them why they are wrong/dumb

It isn't like it is a Trump or Hillary bracket

The option to do that is when you're setting up the quiz. In the options for each question, you have to go to the options at the bottom and hit the check box for "allow question to be skipped", or something along those lines.

You have to do it for each individual question, which is kind of a pain, plus I don't know if it lets you edit that once the poll is published.

IMO, leave this one as is and do it for the subsequent rounds. It'll be a pain in the ass to fix now.

Also, if you didn't, you should sign up for the free trial for premium account so they don't cut off the responses. You'll have you put in your card but you won't get charged for a month, and you can cancel once the tourney is over.

Also, thanks for setting this one up. Should be a fun one.

I feel this vote will just go the way of younger more recent characters due to the voting demographics here.

Its a really strong field.

Stringer vs Andy was a tough one for me. I love both of those characters.

Randy Marsh v. Major Winters, man that's tough. Randy Marsh evolved into more or less the main character in SP who represents everything wrong/right with middle-America perfectly, but Major Winters was a total boss and based on a real war hero. Sigh...it hurts my soul, but I had to go with Randy.

WOW-- just looked and there are a LOT of really close match-ups...multiple ties.

Liz Lemon and Jack Donaghy with some tough matchups. And Leslie Knope against Lucy? Damn.

I feel like every character from AD is better than half the nominations...

I agree...they were seeded according to their popularity in the nomination thread.

I was surprised by how low a lot of more recent characters came out...and how high some (Lucy Ricardo??) were.
