That first link, that doesn't really showcase much. The song is pretty chill as it is, from what I can tell. And she's just standing here singing. I would hope she would sound good.

That idea shows much more when you take a Katy perry or Britney Spears live performance, and isolate that vocal. There is so much other crap and keyboards going on, and they are all running around the stage, they surely sound aweful isolated.

She is good at singing.

If she doesn't then she must at least have lots of the input. I read an interview recently and she said something to the effect of 'I only sing it if I feel an emotional connection. ' (not exactly what she said but something like that)

So you assume. She could get up front lump sum and no royalties. You have no idea what the terms of her contract are. (I assume)

Hah! I read this too fast and thought it was The Killers "When You Were Young" and got excited. Still amazing, but now I'm searching for isolated vocals of The Killers.

Yes. In fact, there is no performance right for over-the-air broadcasts. Artists and record labels aren't compensated when their creative works are used by terrestrial radio.

Also that Swedish guy helped on the album as well

Just took a second to listen to both vocal clips from SNL. I actually liked them better than the performance with instruments. My wife and I both remarked that we didn't like the audio mix they had selected. She's truly talented.

That's in the FIRST 3+ DAYS, already breaking NSYNC's record for a week. So it will likely be close to twice that by Thursday when the week ends.

I am a staunch metal head. Bands like MachineMade God, Devildriver, Lamb of God, Arsis, Sylosis, SepticFlesh, etc are my bread and butter.

That being said....Adele is my girl. That woman can sing. I love her voice and her music. Utmost respect from me. With the rest of the "artists" (and I use that term very loosely) she is simply the best at her craft. I am pleased to see her doing so well.

I agree, she has real talent. I just wish she was doing something more interesting with it...like how Amy Winehouse did. But every generation needs their Bette, Whitney, etc I guess.

Yeah, Adele needs to get into the heroin.

Well, whatever works for her, probably a bit extreme.

Don't endorse it, but it has been part of the inspiration of some of the greatest works of the 20th century. Besides, that's not what did Amy in. The legal stuff did.
