Hmm, yea I don't know what to think about that. I mostly agree with your take. Nothing really wrong with the first song. Second one is just not good. Third one is a mixed bag to me. Like the vocals. Like the piano. Don't think I like the way the brass fits in though...and there's a lot of it.

I've seen Lucero mentioned on here before but this is the first time I've heard them. Are these songs typical of how the singer's voice normally sound?


Also that third song, well that's Gimme Shelter. It's literally like he's singing over a karaoke track.

1372 Overton Park and Rebels Rogues & Sworn Brothers and Tennessee are AMAZING albums. Lucero is one of my favorite bands. Women & Work was only okay and this newest album is making me sad panda, but they have amazing stuff.
