Just watched the trailer for "The Martian" again, and I think it spoiled a HUGE plot point.

Some others that come to mind **SPOILERS**




Phantom Menace trailer showing Darth Maul's double-bladed saber.
Cast Away shows Tom Hanks being alive at the end.

i heard not to watch the trailer for "the martian," so i didn't.......until i saw "jurassic world." I figured it would be rude to close my eyes, cover my ears and shoult "nananananananananananananananananan not listening anananananananananananananan" I don't know exactly what the spoiler was, but i have a pretty good idea.

Pretty much every trailer gives away too much these days. If there's a movie I'm already excited about seeing then I will avoid the trailers for it, no reason in watching if I already know I'm going to see it.

The new terminator. For as terrible as that movie was, at least they could have saved that surprise for the movie.

Yep.

Trailers have gotten completely out of hand. It should be nothing more than MAYBE 25 or 30 seconds. These 2.5 minute trailers are ridiculous.

Recently saw the trailer for "Max" at the movies when I saw Jurassic World. It was basically the entire movie. all wrapped up into a "trailer".

I'm too young to remember, but even Cameron has said he intended for the T-800 being revealed as the good guy to be a surprise.

Edit: You're right, it definitely didn't ruin the movie, that is one of my all-time favorites movies.

Tarantino's trailers are the best. I always see the trailer and think 'Man, I don't know about this one...' only to see the movie and realize 1) it was awesome and 2) was not what I was expecting at all.
