I'll bang the drum for my favorite oldie, Stalag 17. It is well-known but not widely watched.

Good Christmas movie.

I like a lot of the ones y'all posted and there are several I haven't seen that are going into my queue to watch over the holidays. Some I've always wanted to see and some I've never heard of. Good Entertainment Board thread.

I imagine any male movie lover will have seen it, but if you haven't seen Das Boot, you really must, like tonight:

The Good Night is about a guy who falls in love with a dream girl while sleeping and forgets his wife.

King of California is about Michael Douglas acting crazy in search of gold in California. Funny bits overall, I enjoyed it.

He's gotta be trolling, junk. I was more interested in seeing how "The Case" turned out.

Lone Star - My favorite "Texas" movie. Only did $12.4MM at the box office. Fantastic mid-90's murder mystery set in the Frontera region of South Texas. Written/directed by John Sayles and stars Chris Cooper, Matthew McConaughey, Kris Kristofferson, and Elizabeth Pena.

I think it would be worth watching again. A very good ensemble cast and a great story. These days, I think some people would have problems with it due to the whole immigration debate going on, but I still think it does a good job speaking to the culture of Texas.

As a side note, the first time I saw the movie was at A&M. It was playing at the MSC as part of a film festival or something. My friends and I were thinking of something to do that night and I suggested we go see the movie. They didn't like the idea and just wanted to hang out at the dorm, so I ended up going on my own. They missed a great film.
