Hey everyone. We're only 17 days away from the season 5 premier!

I don't know why, but I have super high hopes for this season. I am hoping there will be a lot more wandering place to place and less of the sheltering we've seen in past seasons. (Edit: I liked the direction the last few episodes of season 4 took)

and I know it's overkill - but no comic book references.

I'm ready as well. Can't wait to see how Rick and company get out of that box car.

The marathon kicks off on October 6 at 7 p.m. ET with the pilot episode, "Days Gone Bye" and then runs straight through until 2:30 a.m. ET with the Season 2 premiere. Season 2 picks back up at 7 p.m. ET on October 7, once again running until 2:00 a.m. ET the following morning.
This exact schedule continues until October 11 the day before the start of TWD's fifth season. Once Saturday, October 11, rolls around, the marathon kicks into high gear and AMC airs the rest of the series in consecutive episodes starting at 12:00 p.m. ET. This grand event culminates in the debut of the Season 5 premiere "No Sanctuary" on October 12 at 9 p.m. ET.

The overall story is closer to the comics than some may think. Who lives and dies has changed but all of the key events have been happening thus far

Can't wait. With Game of Thrones over and Big Brother ending (don't judge me) I have no shows to watch except for football.

For whatever reason my DVR isn't picking the new episode as a new one. I have a Dish Hopper.

Had to manually set it. So if you have Dish you may want to check your DVR daily schedule to see if it's picking up the new episode.

I think that our heroes will try to leave Terminus.

I've been marathoning on Netflix the past few days while working from home, near the end of Season 2 now.

And just to remind folks, we have a strict no comics rule on these threads. I'm reading some of the early issues myself but per the TV show thread they don't even exist.
