Yes, another "RIP" thread.

If you're not familiar with him, Eric was a 3 foot tall guy in a wheelchair with a long list of medical problems that would often call the show making insanely unreasonable demands of the show and its staff. Mainly, he wanted to meet Diana Degarmo from American Idol. But it was her, then another and another.

It seemed sometimes the show was being cruel to the guy...but I think it gave him something to live for. He basically couldn't work and had apparently outlived his life expectancy for 30 or more years. Not much he could do but call the show. He liked to argue and they loved to argue with him. I think arguing and *****ing with the staff on the show, as strange as it may sound, made his life better.

He was by far my favorite caller on the show. Gonna miss him yelling at Gary and Jeff the drunk. #ByeForNow

He is finally riding those balloons into the sky. RIP show killer.

I was very sad when I heard the news. I listened to some of his calls this morning at work.

You couldn't write a character like this. People would offer him roles in movies as a gesture. And he'd try to negotiate for more money. They'd offer to take him to events he wanted to go to and he'd have a long list of demands.

Sad he died, but not a huge fan.

Bigfoot is the BEST whack packer he is.

I binged out one weekend and listened to every available Eric the Actor clip on YouTube. His little inane questions (and statements) that he would ask celebrities always made me laugh.

I wonder if Fratto would screw with him and play up the mob angle to encourage that stuff.

I hated that little **** but I'm bummed he died. He did make for some interesting show material, though.

The best Whack Pack member ever is Beetlejuice by a wide margin.

Being from Texas, hearing him trying to come back to the show as "Derek from Texas" was gold. Used every Texas cornball drawl you could imagine. And then his attempt at producing his own radio show...had me tearing up it was so funny.

I liked Hank the angry drunken dwarf the best it is...

Gary the Retard is cool b/c he's always happy it is...

A lot of the wack packers can make you mad because they're just so stupid. That's the thing about a guy like beetle juice. He says the stupidest stuff but he's so arrogant you forget momentarily he is actually a microcephalic.

Even the ones I hate entertain me. High Pitch Eric? Hate that guy. But some damned funny stuff happened with him on (the wheel of fortune segment that time where that girl had to eat edible underwear off Eric).

My favorite is sour shoes, but he's not really a wack packer.

That was a nice little tribute. I felt bad for the guy that took care of him.

I think Howard pretty much nailed it. There's something fantastic about a guy in Eric's condition that acted the way he did. That little guy ordered a HIT (or whatever) on someone.

And the great thing about Howard's show is that for all the crap they gave him, he met Johnny Fratto and got to act like a total bigshot. And he loved it.

Right. I wanted to post a few times regarding one of the shows, but figured I'd get crickets.

I listen to all 8-10 live shows every month.

Bettlejuice was on Letterman last night.

Does anyone know if Robin is in the studio or not? I can't figure it out....some guest a week or two ago said "Hey Robin, wherever you are!". I thought she was there, maybe not.
