I've actually been watching this quite a bit lately. I'd pull all nighters doing school work then fall asleep watching the early morning reruns on IFC. It's great for all the wrong reasons

There is a current ongoing comic book based on that series. I haven't read it, but I've heard it's good.
It was the series for which the term "campy" was invented.
My 5 year old isn't old enough yet for the recent wave of comic book movies, but he loves this show and Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

I grew up watching that show. Penguin was my favorite also.

My favorite was when the villain - forgot which one - literally flattened the dynamic duo - and then slid the cardboard cutouts under the door of city hall. Holy pancakes!
all the recurring villains were pretty awesome. I have to go with Cesar Romero as Joker as the best, tho.

I have been dvring the episodes. Last night we had the Gorshen Riddler and The Joker to watch.
I may have to film my son at some point and totally embarrass him on here. He dances to the theme song singing it at the top of lungs.

Joker, Penguin, and Gorshin's Riddler were all fantastic.
Has your kid asked the million dollar question yet of "why didn't the bad guys just shoot batman and robin in one of the episodes since they always seemed to get away otherwise?"

So many jokes I never caught as a kid. I used to think it was bad, but when I watch it today with my daughter I realize the schtick was wholly intentional and absolutely genius

I like the one where the Penguin trains the down on his luck boxer from Philly to fight for the heavyweight championship. Not much of Batman or Robin in that episode though.

There were a few clues...
Watched the Surf Contest one this morning. Batman and Joker surfing for control of Gotham's beaches. Both put their "baggies" on over their normal costumes. Brilliant.
Jumped off the roof of our house when I was 8 with an umbrella thinking I was the Penguin, did not float like a butterfly.
I forget how old I was when I realized the big fight scene each week took place on the same set.
