Thoughts on the season premiere?

I felt it was good but not spectacular. However last year started off slow and picked up. I was glad I stuck with it.

Good episode. Love this show.

I like Hank Azaria in the FBI role. That office exchange between him, Ray and Mickey was pretty funny

Wonder why no else is watching. That was a good scene. Was the new parole officer bunk Moreland? Sounded just like him.

I loved when the woman was following Hank Azaria and thought he was gay or had some kink, but was just in a cover band.

Wife and I love this show. I thought the Mexican bar part was a little silly but good episode. I guess Bunk Moreland is also the same guy who played Antoine Batiste in Treme?

Yeah someone told me that today although I haven't seen treme. Something tells me the nurse isn't long for this world.

Yeah, I don't think she's gonna be able to be around much longer...And I give it 3 episodes before Ray gets ahold of this newspaper writer/investigator haha

Enjoy this show in spite of the annoying wife and her sore putty. Agree that Ray will be tapping thay reporter's ass, and Terry will do something stupid that gets the nurse killed.

If terry doesn't kill her himself. He's being a bit stockerish.

Agree - "doing something stupid that gets her killed" may include his stocker behavior going overboard and killing her.

Just binged season 1 over the last 4 days. Good stuff. I like this show.

Time to catch up on season 2 in time for this Sunday.

I unfortunately dont feel like paying for showtime just for ray donovan, even though the first season was ok.

Anyone else still watching? Felt like there wasn't a lot of progression, but definitely setting up a lot of stuff with Azaria's character with all the unknowns he is just now finding out about and the reporter from Boston poking around

it was okay.... agreed didn't move too much along. Was a little shocked by the soft core porn that was shown for a few seconds.

Ok so that scene was what I though it was. Me thinks Marvin is not long for this world. So ray got that parole officer to be a hard ass on Mickey. I thought he got him to allow Mickey to leave or something. Guess I didn't really listen to that conversation.

Still enjoying this, but the murdering, swinging FBI stuff is getting pretty damn far out there. The Mickey talking dolphin is goofy as well. Also, the lame-ass gangsta boyfriend storyline is back.

agree on these points. The FBI guys have gone too mobster for my taste.

Also don't understand what the trio of brothers has to do with anything anymore.

I just caught up, and I'm enjoying it thus far.

I'm surprised no one from The Zoo who lurks on the E board hasn't mentioned Tori Black's guest appearance 2 episodes back.

The Bunchy storyline could get interesting as I anticipate they'll take it somewhere dark with the kid. I'd anticipate them circling back to the creeper from the meeting a few weeks ago.

I kept waiting for an awkward moment with the kid and Bunchy as well.

The FBI storyline has gone way far out there quickly and doesn't make that much sense to me at this point. I am not really sure where this show is really going as t's mainly just a show about Ray's problems that are literally anything and everyone.

The dolphin hallucinations are just goofy and I have no idea what it has to do with anything.

Yeah, I tend to think they'll keep Bunchy innocent, although some bad judgment may be involved that puts the kid in harms way or at least gives the appearance that Bunchy was doing something bad. The creeper they had approach Bunchy after his meeting a few weeks ago was a bit out of left field, so I'm thinking that's where they'll circle back around.

The FBI stuff couldn't be further out into left field.

I'm fairly sick of the fbi crap, the wife and the constant Catholic bashing (and I'm not Catholic).

Kinda sad, the show had a ton of potential.

I just hope they don't make Bunchy get mistaken for a pedophile.

It's all over the place at this point. I just now watched Sundays episode. The whole FBI swingers storyline is way far out there.

I really liked the last 2/3 of season one, but I'm losing interest at this point.

Yeah bunchy might get in some trouble with the kid putting his head in his lap. Have a feelin that scene may not have fully ended.

Yeah, for Bunchy, this episode seemed to be going for humorously awkward, but I could see it taking a dark turn. I do think he remains innocent but ends up looking suspicious to the mom (she finds out about his past, etc).

The other brother's Ireland plans are just another example of the show leaving the rails.

Yeah I think he'll be innocent too. It just won't look good for him.

OK, that was REKs "Merry Christmas from the Family" LA style. This season has been wearing thin on me but tonight was fun.

It was entertaining, but this show is gone...

I think it was good. In a family like this, I don't think the occurrences of the evening were unbelievable at all. As a TV show, it served to advance the plot very quickly.

I'm still in.

It was fun to see Ray cut loose like that. How many episodes left?

I did laugh when Ray said after the complete meltdown, "Conor wanted the whole family.. And he got the whole family"
