Excellent book, something about Russell's writing style that simply draws me in. I've read all five of her novels and thoroughly enjoyed all of them.

I am about 200 pages into Five Days at Memorial. It really shows the need to plan and prepare for the worst, even when you think the worst is not possible.

Anyone read the diary of Louis and Clark? Any good? Someone on the 2013 thread suggested "the worst hardtime" about the dust bowl. I really enjoyed that book and would like to read another unique history book. But I'm not a history buff so nothing too advanced. Any suggestions or some of y'all's favorite?

If you haven't read anything by Troost, look him up. His two books on the south pacific before this are a couple of the funniest reads out there.

Paul Theroux is always great for a different perspective on thing.s

Starting off 2014 with Wheel of Time book 12. It's the first one I've read as a hard copy as opposed to on my Kindle. They look bigger in real life!

Too much discussion, not enough Dubi listing off their daily book read!

Starting off with The Count of Monte Cristo after the girlfriend kept going on and on about it. Hope to finish it by the end of the month.

Who woulda thunk that the Jim Caviezel movie would have left out huge chunks of a nearly 1300 page book! Everytime Jacopo pops up in the book I have Luis Guzmán's face and voice permanently etched as who he should look and sound like.

We are water by Wally Lamb. Excellent first book of the year!! A little disappointed in seemingly unfinished ending but loved it anyway.

Reading Ken Follett's Winter of the World

Wishing I had already read Fall of Giants, as this is the second book of the trilogy, but I cant put it down.

Ill rate it when I am done
