Wait, I thought all the prequel haters and Lucas loathers would be ECSTATIC that someone else would be writing and directing more Star Wars films. People need to make up their minds.

OF COURSE he's still listed as Creative Consultant....he created the bloody universe.

Agree... Phantom Menace sucked, but Attack of the Clones is in my top 10 worst "blockbuster" films.

I personally think it's very promising in that respect, Lucas seemed to just not quite be up to the task this last go round but some other directorial talent could really do some great things with the...well, I guess they're just sequels?

I'm not sure how to feel about this........

What would be awesome is if they redid the prequels. You know, with an actual plot this time.

I saw Star Wars when i was 3 in 1977. My girls will be 3 in 2015 and I'll take them to see whatever this one is. That's all I care about.

This never would have happened if McCain got elected.

Could be a good thing. Marvel has been doing ok since Disney bought them in 2009. I'm not sure how much Disney has to do with the making of the movies, but if they threat Star Wars similar, the movies may actually be pretty good.

As long as they don't Michael Bay them all up, and have a competent writer and director involved, they should be OK. Lucas gave us some cool ideas, but he is a pretty schlocky writer and not a good director. Frankly I am amazed he is the same person looking at 4-6 and then at 1-3.

I'm actually really excited about this. People are going to bag on it because they feel the need to overreact and freak out over anything Star Wars related. Disney isn't stupid and they have great people working for them. They have more money than God and they are not going to turn the story into Mickey Mouse with a light saber. George Lucas' ideas with other writers and directors should work out really well. Disney was involved in The Avengers.

They cannot "Michael Bay" it because the universe doesnt allow for cirque de solleilling machine matter to with poorly framed shots.

Man vs man and pilot vs pilot makes everything clean. Even when Lucas went crazy in the prequel trilogy, the clutter was mild (dumb, but mild).

Cautiously optimistic.
