It seems like the suckitude of this year's election choices have brought out lots of hate on both sides.

Do differing political views put a strain on your relationship, or do you still get along?

We both hate Trump, he loathes Hillary, and I really can't stand her either. I'm pretty left-leaning on a lot of things and he's more moderate to right-leaning, but generally we agree on the big topics. This election is ****ed though.

This describes my situation, but we don't agree 100% on all the big topics. I can't bring myself to vote Trump or Hillary, but she wants to vote for Hillary.

I have only dated conservative men. There is no way in hell I would ever be able to marry/have sex with or even sleep in the same bed with a liberal. I would never be able to fall asleep for wishing I could grab a bat and beat his ass for being so politically stupid.

My wife and I both agree that Trump is one of the worst human beings on the planet (maybe ever), and the fact that he is the Republican nominee is not nearly as depressing as unflagging loyalty of of his cult like, fact averse following. The guy has always been a film flam man, a fraud from the word go. Not exceptional in any way, but able to acquire wealth because he has gone through life completely unencumbered by conscience.

On the other side, both of us changed our affiliation from "Unenrolled" to "Democrat" just so we could vote against Hillary in the primary. My wife has announced that she will be voting for Jill Stein on Nov 8, and I told her that I am going to hold my nose and vote for the person who is in the best position to keep Trump out of the White House, and that is Hillary.
