This company has given an option of flying or paying for mileage for me to drive up to Dallas from Houston, I think they would fly me up and fly back on the same day, or give me a hotel room and mileage from the drive.

Which is the better option?

I think driving would be more convenient but i would definitely relax more on a plane

The plane would probably be a puddle jumper and you wouldn't relax

The train has no security line and is just as quick as flying.

Flying is safer. It's a test.

They should get you a hotel room the night before the interview, and get you a rental car! Otherwise, I'd probably drive to relax a bit and think about the interview on the way. Good luck, my dude!

I've done both but ended up driving when possible. Flying didn't save much time overall when you consider drive time to airport and sitting around pre flight and then driving to meetings. I also liked being able to leave a meeting and go whenever that is and not be tied to a plane schedule.

I wouldn't stay a night if possible either when flying or driving.

Depends on how far you live from Airport and where in DFW the interview is. You could be realistically 2/3 of the way there before ever getting to the airport depending how far your commutes are to the airports.

They are testing you to see if you waste time or money. Flying shows you value your time. Driving shows you don't value your time as money, and are willing to take a day (or more if you are being put up) for something that could be done much more efficiently.

Just drive and stay the night before. Gives you time to think about/prep for the interview and you'll be ready to go the next day. I've done both over the years and flying in/out the same day isn't as good for me when doing interview prep.

Also, sorry you aren't as smart as IPWG.

Stay the night before and pick up a hooker. You'll be both relaxed and motivated to make more money in the AM.
