For my humanities credit I took a class called Minority Groups at A&M. It was pretty much what I expected, 90% white 10% other with a latino female teacher asking the 1 or 2 african americans in the room their opinion on all of the "extreme" topics.
In law school we often discussed controversial issues and law students aren't shy about sharing their controversial opinions. One day we were discussing affirmative action in a class with about 50 white people against it, 1 white vegan in favor, and 3 black people who decided to keep their opinions to themselves on that subject.

I had one case. It started right after I graduated. It lasted a couple years, it went to trial, and I won. Then I moved on to doing things I enjoy. The legal education is very helpful in many aspects of my life, but I think I'd be pretty miserable if I had to do that all the time.
