We already live in Boerne. Can't think of any place better in Texas and I don't want to be too far from most my family. So I think we might retire in Boerne.

Right now, somewhere in Bavaria is probably where I'd likely retire. Garmisch-Partenkirchen probably.

If money was an issue then I'd retire in a small private island in the south Pacific. If money were no object, I'd retire on a large private island in the south Pacific.

I actually like where I'm at right now. That's a blessing.

Somewhere in the Arlberg region of the Austrian Alps. Live out the rest of my days hiking, skiing, and drinking.

When you really retire, you just look for a place where someone else will mow your lawn, you're within a half hour of a hospital, and you have access to cable and Internet.

I would love the Idaho panhandle, but my wife would likely leave me for the Florida panhandle.

Kalispell, Montana or Boise would be great to me.

The expression "money is no object" means that cost is no obstacle: you're willing to pay whatever is required to get what you want. People who don't understand this unusual meaning of "object" often substitute "option," saying "money is no option," which makes no sense at all.

N Padre Island on the canals

Close enough to:

My kids/grandkids
American Hospitals
Walmart (cheap beer)
Beach

Then I'd travel 6-8 months out of the year mainly to places that have beaches and warm water.
